Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do you pronounce the name of this COGApa product?
A: koe'-guh pee' ay' Click this link to hear it pronounced

Q: How loud is it?
A: Some songs and sound effects reproduce at different levels than others. Generally speaking, it is about as loud as a standard car horn. Two horns can be connected for more volume and for aiming the sound in more directions.

Q: How many recordings can it store and how long is the recording?
A: COGApa can store one user recording, up to 10 seconds long

Q: Are ALL of the listed songs and sound effects included?
A: Yes.

Q: Will the recording be lost when I turn the engine off?
A: Power must be connected to the COGApa to maintain its memory. The unit takes an extremely small amount of current when not in use and will not drain your battery. Some cigarette lighters do not have power when the engine is off. Connect the COGApa to a +12V source to eliminate that problem.

Q: Can I use the COGApa to replace my existing horn?
A: No. Your standard vehicle horn is a safety item and should not be tampered with.

Q: Why do you say "not intended for operation in a moving vehicle"?
A: As with any other in-car device, such as cell phones, operation may be a distraction to yourself or others around you. Please use COGApa in a respectable and responsible manner at all times. And have fun!
